Q - Which transparent glaze do you use?

A - glossy transparent from Potterycrafts

Q - which underglazes do you use?

A - I’m currently using Amaco Velvet Underglazes. Some colours don’t like the high firing range of stoneware though so I don’t use all colours. You have to see which ones work for you and how. This is all part of the process and fun in developing your favourite techniques! Factors like your kiln, clay and glaze will affect the results so what works for me might be different to what works for you.

Q - which clay do you use?

A - I always fire to stoneware as I prefer the longevity that the high fire process gives the clay meaning it will last much longer than lower fired earthenware pieces. I have experimented with a few different clay bodies and update my findings here
